1) For the service professionals

Welcome to Expat Bee! By using our platform as a service professional, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all service providers using Expat Bee to connect with expats and HR managers. If you enter into a separate paid agreement, those terms will also apply. Together, these documents are called the "Agreement."


1. Service Overview

Expat Bee is a matchmaking platform where expats and HR managers can submit requests for various services, and service professionals can access these requests to offer expat services.


2. Basic Requirements

As a service professional, you must:

  • Hold all necessary licenses and certifications to lawfully deliver services that you propose to Expat Bee users. 

  • Comply with local laws in the country where you provide services.

  • Follow any relevant regulations or recommendations from government agencies.


3. Use of Platform
  • The information you receive through Expat Bee (such as contact details) is for your individual business use only and must not be shared with third parties.

  • You can only use the platform to offer services directly in response to expat requests.


4. Service Availability

Expat Bee may occasionally limit access to the platform for updates or maintenance. We are not liable for any disruptions or downtime.

 

5. Content Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that all the information and content you upload (including links to other websites) is accurate, lawful, and non-offensive. Expat Bee reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content without prior notice.

 

6. Liability
  • You are responsible for any damage caused by breaching this Agreement or acting negligently.

  • Expat Bee is not liable for any costs or lost revenue resulting from your use of the platform. If liability is determined, it will not exceed the amount you’ve paid for the service.

  • Expat Bee is not involved in the contracts or services you agree to with expats or HR managers.


7. Complaints

If your business information or contact details are incorrect, information provided by the expat are incorrect, or other information in the service is incorrect, you can file a complaint to Expat Bee at info [at] expatbee.com. Upon verification, the issue will be resolved by restoring the correct information if possible.

8. Force Majeure

Neither party is responsible for delays or non-performance caused by unforeseen events like natural disasters, war, changes in laws, or major internet disruptions.

 

9. Personal Data

All parties agree to handle personal data & business data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Each party is responsible for ensuring that they comply with all legal requirements when processing data.


10. Customer Reviews
  • Expat Bee allows expats to leave reviews about your services. We do not modify these reviews unless they violate the law or our service terms.

  • You can request correction but cannot request removal of reviews, but you can respond to reviews, and your response will be published alongside the review.

 

11. Intellectual Property

Any content (such as text or images) you upload to Expat Bee grants us the right to use, modify, store, or distribute it, including for marketing purposes.

 

12. Changes to the Agreement

Expat Bee reserves the right to modify these terms. If any significant changes occur, you will be notified at least one month in advance.

 

13. Payment Terms

If you enter a separate paid agreement with Expat Bee, you must ensure that your payment information is up to date. Late payments will result in penalties, including possible suspension of your account.

 

15. Applicable Law and Disputes

This agreement is governed by Finland's law. Disputes between parties due to the agreement shall primarily be resolved by negotiation between the parties. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this agreement, or the breach, termination or validity thereof, shall be finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce.

2) For expats and HR managers

Welcome to Expat Bee! By using our platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. General

Expat Bee is an online service that connects expats, and HR managers, with local professional service providers. By submitting a service request or creating an account, you accept the Terms & Conditions, which may be updated periodically. The latest version of these terms is always available on our website.

2. Using the Service

You are responsible for ensuring that your name and contact details are correct and up-to-date, and that your service request contains accurate and relevant information. Expat Bee may edit the description for clarity or remove any inappropriate content. You are responsible for ensuring that any content (text, images, etc.) you provide does not violate laws or infringe on third-party rights. Offensive content may result in your request being removed or, in serious cases, your account being suspended.


3. Intellectual Property

Expat Bee owns the rights to all materials (text, images, design, etc.) provided through the platform, including the content of your service requests. We may use this content for marketing, but any personal data or confidential business data will be hidden in public channels. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Personal Data

We take your privacy seriously and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To use the service, we collect your name, email, address, postal code, and phone number. This information helps us facilitate your requests and ensure compliance with the Terms & Conditions.

When you submit a request, your contact details and request description are shared with service providers who express interest in your job. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

6. Liability for Services

Expat Bee acts only as an intermediary between users and service providers. We are not responsible for any disputes, damages, or payment issues that arise between you and a service provider.

 

7. Reviews

We encourage users to leave reviews after a service is completed. Our customer service team may contact you to evaluate the service provider's performance. You can also leave a review on your own. To ensure authenticity, reviews must include your full name, though you can choose to display only your first name. Expat Bee is not responsible for the content of user reviews but reserves the right to remove any review that violates the law or our service terms.

 

8. Emails and Marketing

By submitting a request with Expat Bee, you agree to receive emails about service updates, requests, and relevant marketing offers. Each email will give you the option to unsubscribe, or you can contact our customer service to stop receiving marketing emails.

 

9. Changes to Terms

Expat Bee may update these terms over time. You should check the current terms regularly on our website. If significant changes are made, we will notify you before they take effect.
